PC Fitness

That guy in the photo is Anthony Marchese, better known to the online community as PC Fitness since 1998. I am the owner and Web Master of this site as well as Expert Computer Help.com, Expert Personal Training.com and Expert Web Design.biz.

Bio

My name is Anthony Marchese, I'm 40 years old. Moved from New York to South Florida in the summer of 1993. My Health and Fitness career began in 1987 and my Computer career began in 1994. I will cover both of these in detail later. First, I'd like to say that I've been fortunate to have made a living from the things I've had the most fun with in my life, Technology, Gaming, Health and Fitness. I love exercising and being around other health conscious people, studying nutrition and helping others reach their goals. The same goes for technology, I love helping people solve their computer problems and educating them at the same time.

Now I will talk about both parts of my nick name / domain name and why I chose PC Fitness to represent me and my online presence back in 2001. Let's say, I'm not just a "Computer Guy" who makes computer fit. And as far as I know, I am the only person on the web who has promoted himself that way. There are a few other PC Fitness outfits on line but none that combine my background in both (PC) technology and (Fitness) health and fitness = PC Fitness.

Fitness

I have certifications in Personal Training, Sports Nutrition, Sports Stretching and Strength Training For Seniors. My addiction for health and fitness started at very young age. It was 1980 when I picked up my first copy of Muscle and Fitness magazine.

I've trained people in the privacy of their homes as well as public fitness centers from New York to South Florida since 1987. I've helped people of all ages reach their goals. The majority of my clients want to lose weight and tone up, while others want to pack on bulk and add 50 lbs to their bench press. As a fitness trainer you have to be there for your clients. To my clients I am a friend, a motivational workout partner and a health and fitness information resource.

PC

In 1993 I decided to buy a pc, or "personal computer". Instead of boring you with what I bought, I'll tell you how I arrived here. I went to school for 2 years where I studied computer science and network administration. I got my A+ certification, I began to study for the MCSE but decided I didn't need to after "Tom Carracino" took me under his wing, a high paid system engineer and had "0" certificiations. Interesting isn't it. An MCSE certification or any other is nice to add to your resume, but it won't help you much unless you have "hands on experience". I don't care how many books you've read, in the computer support business you need to get your hands dirty, there is no other way around it. Then you have to have what it takes to market yourself in the corporate world, you have to sell yourself, because the theory that books provide will only take you so far until you have to perform in the real world.

Where were we, ah yes, I got hired as a network administrator assistant where I was taught the tricks of the trade by "Tom Carracino". As my knowledge grew I started to apply for other high paying jobs to see where I was in the salary braket. I started to get contract offers for almost 3x what I was making so I decided to move on. The last company I worked for in 2000 I was hired as a top level systems analyst. About one year later they pink slipped over 150 people, I was one. Good thing I never stopped advertising and marketing my residential and small business computer services to the South Florida area. Because I ended up going into business for myself full time and hiring field technicians to help. The lay off in 2000 turned out to be the best thing that happened to me, needless to say I haven't looked back since.
